Anantara Hotels & Resorts will welcome its first US property in 2030 with the opening of Anantara Miami Resort and Residences.
Parent company Minor Hotels said the development represented a “defining moment for the group’s global expansion”.
The 50-storey tower development in Miami’s Edgewater district will house 50 hotel suites, 100 private residences and 120 resort residences which owners will be able to make available to hotel guests.
Wellness will be a focus at the property, with a dedicated vitality centre offering holistic programming inspired by Thai healing traditions.
A “curated range of hospitality-led experiences” will also be on offer.
The development will feature a private rooftop helipad, providing access to other nearby destinations such as the Florida Keys, Palm Beach and the Bahamas.
Guests will also benefit from direct access to Miami’s restaurants, galleries, boutiques and cultural institutions, including Pérez Art Museum, the Phillip and Patricia Frost Museum of Science and the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts.
Minor Hotels said the property would be the first tower in the area to offer uninterrupted views across Biscayne Bay.
Anantara Miami Resort and Residences is expected to go on sale later this year.
William Heinecke, founder and chairman of Minor International, the owning company of Minor Hotels, said: “True luxury is time, the freedom to pause, to explore, and to experience the world more deeply. Miami is the perfect location for the debut of our luxury Anantara brand into the US, and we are excited to partner with One Thousand Group to bring this vision to reality.”
Kevin Venger, co-founder of development partner One Thousand Group, added: “Anantara Miami Resort and Residences introduces something entirely new to the US. It’s not just another branded residence, but a fully realised concept that blends hospitality, private ownership and longevity into one unified experience.”
