White Desert recruits Andrew Tait as it bolsters trade support

Specialist Antarctica operator White Desert has recruited Andrew Tait to enhance its support for the UK travel trade.

 

Tait joins the team as manager for UK and Europe sales and will be the dedicated in-house point of contact for UK agents.

 

Tait joins from AE Expeditions, where he was senior business development manager. He has also previously held roles at Inside Travel Group and London-based agency Travelwise. 

 

White Desert said Tait brought “a wealth of experience in luxury polar travel and trade partnerships”. 

 

The operator has also signed with sales and representation company Saranta Associates, which will provide strategic representation and enhance the brand’s visibility in the UK market.

White Desert provides a range of small-group itineraries to luxury camps in Antarctica, including south pole trips, penguin photography and ice cave exploration. The operator also offers itineraries in South America under its Dr. Jones brand.
