Venue for Upper Class passengers features new-look cinema area and work pods
Virgin Atlantic has unveiled its new-look Clubhouse at Heathrow following the successful completion of the first phase of a redesign.
The renovated space for the carrier’s Upper Class customers offers a new-look cinema area, new work pods, a ‘Royal Box VIP’ area and a redesigned gallery space.
The renovation has also seen the creation of two pop-up wellness areas featuring three Somadomes – the “world’s first immersive wellness dome” – while a partnership with Secret Spa introduces a menu of spa treatments.
Until May 31, passengers can enjoy a complimentary session in one of three Somadomes, which aim to “deliver calm, focus and mental reset in just 20 minutes”.
The Royal Box VIP is an invitation-only space that offers runway views and is home to the ‘Cabinet of Curiosities’ – an area that will offer visitors a range of goodies from sweet treats to champagne.
Virgin Atlantic said the cinema had been “reimagined as a warm, contemporary and intimate screening space” inspired by London’s members’ clubs and Soho’s private screening rooms to offer a “more immersive, studio-like environment”.
Juha Jaervinen, chief customer officer at Virgin Atlantic, said: “The Clubhouse is an iconic part of the Virgin Atlantic experience, and we’re proud to be unveiling a bold new chapter at Heathrow.
“This investment reflects our commitment to continually innovating for our customers, combining wellbeing, entertainment and distinctive design in a way only Virgin Atlantic can.”
He added: “And this is just the beginning – with even more exciting plans to come, including new ways for guests to make the most of plane spotting while soaking up the London sunshine from our roof terrace.”
