Itineraries spanning cruise, rail and land launched in response to rise in long-haul sales
Uniworld Boutique River Cruises has unveiled a new collection of long-haul journeys that combine the line’s river cruises with “bucket-list” land and rail experiences.
The Ultimate Bucket List Collection features four 18 to 21-day itineraries across India, South America and south-east Asia. Each journey includes a seven-night Uniworld river cruise, stays in hotels from brands including Belmond, Four Seasons and Oberoi, and experiences such as Bengal tiger spotting in Ranthambhore National Park, visiting the Taj Mahal at sunset and sunrise, and travelling on India’s famous Maharajas’ Express train.
The new collection – which forms part of Uniworld’s Spectacular Journeys of the World brochure for 2026 – has been launched following a 70% increase in long-haul sales in the last 12 months.
Uniworld’s managing director for the UK & Europe, Chris Townson, said guests’ length of stay and average spend was up 22% and 20% respectively year on year.
“Increasingly, our guests want to enjoy as much of these once-in-a-lifetime destinations as possible in a single trip and in ultimate style, having savoured VIP experiences and the world’s most iconic hotels,” he said.
“In response to this growing demand, we have created longer, seamless and full-hosted journeys that are ready to go, saving our agent partners the time and complexity of putting them together from scratch, with the confidence that their clients’ expectations will be exceeded.”
He added: “The new Ultimate Bucket List Collection forms an integral part of our new 84-page Spectacular Journeys of the World brochure, which I believe is our best yet, outlining every detail of these stunning trips, and giving agents all the information they need to close the sale.”
Highlights of the new collection include a 20-day Ultimate Bucket List Adventure of Southeast Asia, which will take guests from Ho Chi Minh City to Hanoi in Vietnam. The trip, starting from £7,639 per person, includes a seven-night Super Ship Mekong Jewel cruise, visits to Siem Reap and Cambodia’s Killing Fields, and a sunrise Tai Chi lesson overlooking Ha Long Bay.
The Ultimate Bucket List Adventure of South America sees the line include Rio de Janeiro and Iguassu within a fully packaged South America journey for the first time. The 21-day trip includes stays at Belmond hotels in Copacabana Beach and Iguassu National Park, a cruise on the line’s 16-suite Amazon Aria vessel to experience jungle hikes and stargazing, and a visit to Peru’s Machu Picchu. Prices start from £12,919 per person.
The Ultimate Bucket List Collection also features two itineraries in India: the 20-day Ultimate Bucket List Adventure of India from Udaipur to Varanasi and the 18-day Ultimate Bucket List Adventure of India by Luxury River and Rail from Kolkata to Mumbai.
Each package includes return flights, internal transportation, accommodation, excursions and most food and drink.
