Line vows to further ‘increase focus’ on trade partnerships
National Geographic-Lindblad Expeditions has reported an “exceptional” start to 2026.
The line has achieved 63% of its total 2025 sales in January and February, with trade bookings playing a “pivotal role”.
In January and February this year, 40% of National Geographic-Lindblad Expeditions’ UK sales came through the trade, compared to 20% for the same period last year.
The brand revealed that top-performing destinations this year include Antarctica, the Galápagos Islands and Alaska.
The line said its “standout” trade booking came from Polar Routes’ Charlie Mason and was valued at more than £100,000 for two guests.
The booking was for a 25-day Patagonia, Falklands, South Georgia & Antarctica Odyssey sailing onboard National Geographic Resolution in February 2028.
The line’s trade performance followed the expansion of the UK sales team, including the addition of dedicated trade support executive Brooke Dunn and concierge specialist Karen Hollands.
The brand said that 2026 will see “an increased focus on trade partnerships”, with a new training programme, ship visit opportunities, enhanced agent rates and in-market presence.
Head of sales for the UK Danielle Bates said: “We are absolutely thrilled with the momentum we’re seeing from the UK trade community. Doubling our trade bookings year-on-year and reaching 63% of last year’s total sales in just two months is a phenomenal achievement.
“The investment in our UK team and our commitment to meaningful agent partnerships is clearly paying off. Trade is a huge focus for us, and we’re incredibly excited about the energy and enthusiasm around our brand. There is so much more to come in 2026 and beyond.”
