Five top-performing agents to win trip for two to the destination
Lusso has launched its “largest-ever” trade campaign for Barbados in order to target a 50% increase in bookings for the destination.
The operator said the ‘Bigger. Better. Barbados’ initiative, in partnership with Barbados Tourism Marketing and Virgin Atlantic, is in response to “a wave of new hotel openings and significant refurbishments across the island”.
The incentive will run until August 31, 2026, offering Lusso’s five highest-performing agents during this time period a trip to Barbados for two, departing on September 23, 2026.
The prize includes premium economy flights with Virgin Atlantic and five nights’ accommodation at Colony Club, Tamarind, Apes Hill, Blue Monkey or Royalton.
Agents who make bookings at these participating properties will double their chance of winning.
Lusso will support agents in selling the destination with digital content, regional trade events and “focused” supplier partnerships.
The operator will also unveil a dedicated Barbados brochure in June.
Head of product and commercial Andrew Marshall said: “As the UK’s leading luxury, trade-only tour operator, our focus has always been on supporting our agent partners.
“Barbados is entering a really interesting phase. There’s a breadth of new product coming through alongside some of the island’s most established names, and that creates a great opportunity for the trade. ‘Bigger. Better. Barbados’ is our way of supporting agents through that shift, helping them understand what’s new, where the opportunities are and ultimately how to convert that into bookings.”
