Luxury hotel brand to offer four and six-night sailings on the river from late 2026
Waldorf Astoria is to offer four and six-night sailings on the River Nile from late 2026.
Parent company Hilton has partnered with regional specialist Middle East For Nile Cruisers to launch Waldorf Astoria Nile River Experience, which the brands said will “transform how travellers discover Egypt’s most treasured landmarks”.
Itineraries will see guests either travel down-river from Luxor to Aswan or up-river from Aswan to Luxor, with private docks in both locations. Guests will be able to take in the temples in Luxor and the Valley of the Kings as well as cultural attractions in Esna, Edfu, Kom Ombo and Aswan.
The five-deck, Waldorf Astoria-branded vessel will feature 29 suites; a state-of-the-art fitness centre and spa; several food and drink experiences, including Waldorf Astoria’s signature brasserie Peacock Alley, serving Egyptian, Mediterranean and international cuisine; and a rooftop deck.
Dino Michael, senior vice-president and global head at Hilton Luxury Brands, said: “Waldorf Astoria is in an incredible new era of luxury, creating unforgettable, immersive experiences in the most sought-after destinations.
“This year and beyond, the brand is set to define its global position with the anticipated opening of the legendary Waldorf Astoria New York, and debuting in destinations including the most recent openings in Osaka and Costa Rica, and into the future with Sydney, London, Jaipur and many more.
“This new destination experience offers guests a spectacular view of Egypt, and we look forward to welcoming guests aboard this one-of-a-kind experience when it launches next year.”
