Crete hotels to reopen with refreshed suites and dining venues
Luxury Greek hotel group Elounda Collection has announced a raft of updates across its three adjoining properties in Crete for the 2026 season.
Porto Elounda Golf & Spa Resort will reopen with refreshed communal areas, offering a “brighter, more contemporary aesthetic”.
The property will introduce redesigned dining venues, including cocktail bar Thea and international buffet restaurant Cosmos, featuring expanded terrace seating.
Following the property-wide renovation of its suites in 2025, Porto Elounda will add a further 14 Premium Suites throughout the year, bringing the total to 98.
Elounda Mare has entered the final phase of renovations across the property’s 88 rooms, suites, villas and bungalows, with the remaining 12 bungalows set for completion ahead of reopening for the season.
Meanwhile, Elounda Peninsula will reopen with refreshed Beachfront Junior Suites, following “extensive upgrades” across the property’s 58 suites, villas and residences in 2025.
A new wellness centre is also set to open, featuring Technogym equipment, Pilates reformer machines, a yoga studio and an outdoor gym. The facility available for us by guests at each property.
Guests can also expect a range of culinary and wellness partnerships for the new season.
Elounda Mare will welcome guest chef Sofian Msetfi to introduce the Michelin-starred concept from his Mayfair venue Ormer, from July 21 to 23.
Porto Elounda will host the second edition of its adult-only Common Bond fitness and wellness retreat from September 13 to 20, offering expert-led training and spa treatments.
Guests can also receive coaching from footballer Paul Ince from May 27 to 31 and ex-Arsenal player Martin Keown from August 24 to 31.
Elounda Collection’s three properties will reopen for the 2026 season from April 29 to the first week of May.
