Event marked line’s first headline sponsorship of the annual event
Cunard hosted 12 travel agents at the Royal Albert Hall for the 50th anniversary of the Olivier Awards.
The awards ceremony, held at the prestigious London venue on Sunday April 12, marked Cunard’s first headline sponsorship of the annual event.
The agents in attendance were selected by Cunard’s trade sales team and via a competition with Carnival UK’s Shine Rewards Club.
The winners received access to the ‘green carpet’ before the ceremony, seating in the stalls for the show, and admission to the VIP afterparty at the Natural History Museum.
Iain Baillie, Cunard associate vice-president of UK and EMEA sales, said: “It was a real pleasure to welcome our travel agent partners to this landmark 50th anniversary ceremony at the Royal Albert Hall – an occasion that celebrates extraordinary British theatre and brings Cunard’s distinctive onboard proposition to life.”
Not Just Travel agent Joanne Doherty said: “Being invited by Cunard to attend the Olivier Awards is a real honour.
“Their passion for exceptional entertainment, both at sea and ashore, is something I’ve always admired, and it was wonderful to be part of such a special occasion.”
Anjalina Young of Mundy Cruising said: “It was a great honour to attend such a prestigious event. I feel incredibly lucky. Thank you, Cunard.”
Cunard has partnered with the Society of London Theatre for seven years – including adapting and staging West End shows, such as 2025 Olivier Award winner Come From Away, on its ships.
This year’s awards ceremony was screened on Cunard ships so that passengers could watch the night unfold, together with themed cocktails, interactive activities and red carpet photo opportunities.
