Tours celebrate opening of the Grand Egyptian Museum
Abercrombie & Kent (A&K) is set to introduce two new Egyptian itineraries at the end of 2025.
The expansion of the operator’s small group journeys in the destination coincides with the opening of the Grand Egyptian Museum in Cairo, set to take place in July.
Between October 25 and November 3, 2025, the VIP Experience Egypt & The Nile tour will see guests hosted at the private residence of A&K’s Egypt and Middle East managing director Amr Badr before journeying through Egypt for four days on river vessel Sun Boat IV.
Badr will share his local expertise before an Egyptologist guides guests through ancient tombs, the Abu Simbel twin temples and the Sphinx.
On December 20-29, 2025, the Nile Cruise for the Holiday Season will take guests to the new Grand Egyptian Museum, on a private tour through the recently discovered Wahtye Tomb and on a journey to Abu Simbel via a privately chartered flight.
The festive itinerary will also include a four-day exclusive river cruise charter on board Sun Boat III.
Earlier this year, A&K added a further five 2025 dates to its Egypt in a Week itinerary, which includes tours of the pyramids of Giza, the temples of Luxor and the sights of the Nile on board Sun Boat IV.
Suzanne Teng, director of A&K’s Global Group Product, said: “With the highly anticipated official opening of the Grand Egyptian Museum this summer, we are excited to introduce our guests to this extraordinary cultural landmark.
“We’ve expanded our offering of small group journeys to provide guests with a variety of ways to explore Egypt – and the museum’s breathtaking collections – all while enjoying the exceptional service A&K is known for.”
Both new itineraries start at $15,795 for 10 days, while the Egypt in a Week tour starts at $5,995 for eight days.
