Exsus Travel ‘doubles down’ on fam trip investment amid ‘industry cutbacks’

Operator’s commitment to educationals reflects ‘long-term confidence in the business’

Exsus Travel has “doubled down” on its fam trip investment despite “industry cutbacks”.

The luxury tour operator has vowed to continue “prioritising first-hand product knowledge across both its internal team and agent community” at a time where “many” travel businesses are reducing fam trip participation amid “current market pressures”.

Over the coming months, Exsus will take agents to Turkey, Mykonos and the Maldives. It will also host its Elite fam, which will see the operator’s top-selling agents and their partners enjoy a trip to South Africa in partnership with Turkish Airlines.

These fams are designed to “reward, educate and inspire agents”, with the investment reflecting “long-term confidence in the business, its people and its partnerships”.

Exsus will also continue to invest time in sending its internal team on educational trips to ensure staff can deliver “the high level of expertise and personal recommendation the company is known for”.

The operator’s sales director Sinziana Renciuc said: "We know the current climate has led many businesses to cut back, but for us, continued investment in our people remains incredibly important.

“These trips are about much more than travel. They are about education, confidence, relationship-building and ensuring our team and partners are equipped to deliver the service Exsus is known for.

“It also reflects our confidence in the business and our belief in maintaining momentum, even during more challenging times. We have members of staff from almost every department heading on fam trips in the coming months.”

As well as continued investment in fam trips, Exsus has also launched a new agent booking incentive to “offer additional support during a challenging booking period”.

Agents who make eligible bookings between today (April 7) and April 30 will receive a 50% increase on the usual voucher amounts awarded, meaning up to £750 is available dependent on booking value.

For each week the promotion runs, a different prize will be up for grabs for agents who make an eligible booking.

This week (commencing April 6), advisors have the chance to win a three-night half-board stay for two at either Minos Beach Art Hotel or Minos Palace Resort in Crete.

Exsus managing director Habib Rehman said: "We are huge believers in recommending from first-hand experience. Investing in fam trips means investing in the knowledge, confidence and credibility of both our team and our trade partners.

“In the luxury space especially, details matter, and there is simply no substitute for having been there yourself. It’s something that benefits our staff, our agent relationships, our suppliers and ultimately our clients too.

“We also see it as a commitment to our suppliers that we want to properly experience their product, understand it in detail and go out and sell it with conviction. At the same time, we’re always looking for ways to support and reward our agent partners, and our latest incentive is another reflection of that."
