Aaron Hilton will help association ‘offer more support’ to members
The Association of Touring & Adventure Suppliers (Atas) has appointed Aaron Hilton to the newly created role of membership manager.
He will take up the role from today (April 7), working alongside Atas director Claire Brighton and content executive Evie Sutherland, with support from the Atas board.
Hilton’s career in travel began in 2012 with Tui, firstly at the Tui Basildon superstore then the group’s Chelmsford branch.
In 2015, he became an assistant store manager for Kuoni, where he worked for five years.
After a year with Porsche, he returned to the travel sector in 2021 as a business development manager for Not Just Travel.
He joins Atas from The Holiday Franchise Company where he has worked for the past two and a half years as a training and development executive, assisting with the recruitment and onboarding of new franchisees.
In his new role, he will work closely with all levels of Atas’ membership – operators, associates and agents – and across the Atas events portfolio, ranging from the annual conference and regional gatherings to overseas fam trips.
Hilton will also liaise with agency groups to increase agent members, while also encouraging engagement with online training, website and events.
Brighton commented: “I am delighted to welcome Aaron to our growing team at Atas.
“His appointment means the association will offer more support to all our members – we can develop more campaigns and bespoke offerings for our suppliers and associate members, while also boosting our agent training.
“The continued growth of the association reflects the wider expansion of the touring and adventure sector and we’re looking forward to more success in the coming months and years.”
Hilton added: “From the moment I met Claire, it was clear that our energy and enthusiasm for the touring and adventure sector were perfectly aligned.
“I’ve always been passionate about selling touring and adventure holidays, and it’s an area of travel I truly love.
“I’m really looking forward to connecting with our membership partners and sharing why I believe this part of the travel sector is simply the best.”
